Naga Vamsi expressed his frustration with the media during a press meet today. He openly criticized film reviews and challenged the press to ignore him if they didn’t like his films. His comments came after the release of Mad Square on March 28th.
In a bold move, he told those who disliked him or his films to completely boycott his productions. “If you hate me that much, ban my films, don’t write about them, and don’t take ads from me. Then I’ll show you how to promote my film without your support,” he said defiantly.
Mad Square received average reviews, and the film faced backlash over high ticket prices. Some media outlets even claimed that the box office collections were inflated.
In response, Naga Vamsi challenged these claims, inviting critics to verify the actual numbers with him. He also emphasized that if the collections weren’t good, he wouldn’t need to put up housefull boards, especially when even big films sometimes struggle to attract crowds.
Naga Vamsi criticized certain media outlets for not supporting the film, despite its good performance, and questioned why there seemed to be an effort to bring the movie down.
